If you are looking for a tutor, you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t give Julie an opportunity to connect with you. From the very start, you will see Julie’s high level of organization, planning, and flexibility which equates to her being able to create a plan that is on track for your student to learn at a challenging and yet not overwhelming pace. She’s excellent at building rapport with students and obviously has a love for seeing a students grow and succeed. If you are looking for the cheapest tutor then understand this isn’t Julie because she’s an expert and can command a higher price, however, if you are looking for the best value for your money, Julie is absolutely that tutor. Thank you for all you’ve done to open my students eyes and make him a much more confident and educated young adult!

I cant believe the difference in my daughter's attitude and confidence already. This Momma’s heart is overflowing with gratitude. My daughter is chatty, but the rapport building is important, especially for her. If she connects with a teacher she can do great things! I am so grateful this is working out. She proceeded to work on her life skills class and she needed to make a Vision Board (she didn't know what that was and was doubting her ability to do it). Well she did a great job and even included improving her writing skills for her “academic” goal (There were six categories). I was shocked but it shows the impact your time together is having already! Thank you!

Super helpful with college essay. Julie has been incredibly helpful to my daughter, who needed help on one final college essay. She helped elicit personal details from daughter about experiences that were relevant to the prompt to make the essay her own. She then helped her structure the information into a proper essay format, creating a finished piece that is authentic vs. generic. My daughter really enjoys working with Julie as well and feels confident and stress-free now about the finished work.

Julie is a very organized and is always well prepared for every lesson. Our lessons have a good a flow to them because everything is planned ahead of time. She has demonstrated a strong mastery of technology through the use of Google Docs where all of our lessons and assignments are stored. Her understanding of education and human psychology has allowed her to help me better structure and assimilate complex learning resources thus making me a better and more confident test taker. Our lessons include modules whereby she help me strengthen my active recall skills through quick 5 minute presentations. We go through exercises that help me determine whether a question is a recall, application or analysis type. I consider with her time fulfilling and good a learning experience.

Julie is a grade saver. At first, I thought her rate was expensive however after the experience I had it was more than worth it. We discussed my needs for the research report that I was doing and I sent it to her. In less than 24 hours she had the report back to me with a very thorough review and caught a lot of the mistakes that I was making. She also caught that I was doing the assignment incorrectly and gave me a lot more ideas to fix what was wrong. She was also very encouraging when I was frustrated and provided emotional support as I gutted my entire assign the and redid it. You would be crazy not to take her on as a tutor in letter help you will not regret it.
